About
Megumi Aoki
Entrepreneur · Advisor · Bridging Los Angeles and Tokyo
Introduction
Megumi Aoki is a bilingual entrepreneur based between Los Angeles and Tokyo, working at the intersection of design, hospitality, and luxury real estate. Her work is shaped by an entrepreneur's eye for value, a designer's instinct for detail, and a global perspective built across two of the world's most distinctive cities.
Background
Born and raised in Japan, Megumi moved to Massachusetts for high school, beginning a path that would shape her bicultural perspective. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Temple University, and during her studies, spent a year at Yonsei University in Seoul as an exchange student, studying Korean language and culture.
By the time she returned to Tokyo to launch her career, she had already lived and studied across three of Asia-Pacific's most influential cities—shaping the cross-cultural fluency that defines her work today.
Tokyo Roots
Megumi's career began in Tokyo, where she founded and led ventures in hospitality and lifestyle. She oversaw branding, marketing, and spatial design from concept through execution, building a practice grounded in the belief that great experiences are designed from the inside out.
During this period, she collaborated with internationally renowned architect Kengo Kuma on a hospitality project—an experience that continues to shape her understanding of architecture, materials, and experiential value.
Los Angeles Today
Today, based in Beverly Hills, Megumi advises an international clientele on luxury real estate as a key member of the Brooke Elliott Laurinkus team at Christie's International Real Estate. The team holds a collective track record exceeding $300 million in sales volume, representing exceptional properties across Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Malibu, and Coastal Orange County.
Her practice focuses on cross-border advisory for clients navigating both the Los Angeles and Tokyo markets—bringing cultural fluency and discretion to transactions that demand both.
Beyond real estate, Megumi takes on selective engagements in branding, design, and creative direction, partnering with founders and brands seeking a thoughtful, design-led approach.
